Opened first time but not after that

Not really sure. The first time I launched it I got connected to the server. Then when I pressed F11 to go to full screen it crashed. Every time I try to launch it since then it initiates, but then closes, doesn't even give me the option to choose whether I want to do a single player or multiplayer world. And I wanna get this done so that I can go to sleep before friends come over!!!!!!!!

It's running out of memory. It may be that your system just can't handle journeymap. Disable that and then try launching MagicFarm.

As far as I can tell, even without journey maps it still happens.

Try deleting the options.txt file in %appdata%\.minecraft\MagicFarm2\minecraft. If that doesn't work, just get rid of the whole MagicFarm2 directory and let it redownload everything.

Don't see an options.txt file in my minecraft folder. So, I got rid of the whole MF2 directory and re-downloaded everything. I still got a memory error and a crash.

Hmm. It may just be that MF2 uses a lot more client memory than Unleashed did. Try going to the options tab in the launcher, clicking the advanced options button at the bottom, and add "-Xms512M" (without quotes) to the additional java parameters field. Then try to launch it.

Also make sure that you don't have anything else running in the background. McAfee has gotten really resource intensive with its latest update. If you have that installed, try temporarily disabling real-time scanning.

Alright, I did the advanced options thing, and made sure to close all background stuff.

You could just uninstall everything and do a clean instal from scratch (the ftb launcher might be the issue)

I did do that. Deleted everything. Redownloaded MC and FTB launcher. Still won't open.

Try to update Java.
If it still doesn't work, then don't see what's going on.
How many memory do you have ? those new ftb packs needs 2 to 4Go

Can you still launch Unleashed?

I only have 4 gb of ram. Also went through and updated Java right away when it had first happened. I can still open Unleashed. It seems my comp is unable to keep up with the new things. If it was possible to take a few more mods out perhaps then I could, but otherwise it looks like I cannot get on till I get a new comp. or unless you can add ram through an external hard drive or something.

You can upgrade to 8gb for relatively cheap, and i'd advice that. Amazon is a good place to start
My own computer have 8gb and can barely keep up...It's often saturating when I use the monster modpack.

Rotarycraft is pretty dope trough, there is a real endgame challenge/reward

More RAM won't do you any good with your computer. According to the crash reports, you're running a 32 bit operating system, which can only address a max of 4Gb of RAM. I only have 4Gb, myself, and it runs everything fine.

At this point, I'd suggest asking for help on the FTB forum. I've done all I can for you, but I unfortunately don't know enough about java to be able to tell you exactly what's going wrong. It looks like something to do with lwjgl or the way your system is handling graphics, but I don't know for sure what to do about it. You have the same version of lwjgl that we all have, and redownloading everything like you have would have taken care of it if there was some sort of corruption in one of its files.

If you can't get this pack to work, we'll go with something else. We're not going to leave you out.

Are there any 1.6.4 pack that you can open?

It's interesting that you have an issue with 1.6.4 it's where minecraft moves from having a Minecraft.jar in each separate mod pack: unleashed, ultimate etc… to 1 minecraft.jar used by them all. (something I noticed some time ago when modding ssp and looking for client mods for FTB)

Edit: Assuming you've restarted the computer, (which has fixed similar MC/Java/FTB problems for me on windows) Perhaps you could try going a step further in isolating corrupt files and or preferences.
Which is to create a second new user account on your computer and redownload FTB, install it etc.. In theory it should give you a slate almost as blank as reinstalling windows by avoiding your previous appdata folder. It shouldn't hurt anything to try it anyway and yet it has the possibility of ruling out certain problems.

I did what you suggested and tried a second account. Does not help. First couple times I got a memory error, and the next couple of times I was unable to distinguish what may have caused it to not open at all.

Really sorry guys, but I am not sure what to do. I will try find time to open the other 1.6.4 packs over the course of this week.

Thank you for trying. It seems to point to a wider cause then.

If you can launch any other mod pack for 1.6.4. Then I would suggest revisiting the Magic Farm 2 pack, and disable any mod that can obviously be disabled without throwing up an error. (some mods come with 2 or more pieces for example)
If disabling all/most of the mods gets you into a SSP world. Then try renabling half, then half again etc.. until the problem mod(s) reveal themselves.

If it's simply a case of Magic Farm 2 eating up memory, then pulling out mods should let you into SSP.

It's gotten to the point where I've taken out about half the mods, been able to get the main screen, but now every time I make a world or try to enter it I get an 'out of memory' error. *sigh* This pack was looking to be really really fun too. Gonna take another break from trying to get a world working.

It's odd because last world I was playing at 5-14fps, now I'm getting 30-90fps on higher quality settings.

After you've narrowed down the list of mods that keep you out a bit, we can look at them to see if there is anything there particularly memory intensive.

Not sure what's happening but after getting into a world there seems to be an issue with the number of packets that the game is trying to load, and basically my computer gets overwhelmed.  I have gotten rid of a ton of mods, but sadly I don't know what a majority of them do to the game, and so, when I make new worlds I find that there are no new plants or other Magic Farm 2 related plants.  Have been unable to move around in any of my worlds yet to determine if a mod I've removed has completed removed them from the game or not.  This is all very tiring though.  I wish there was a list somewhere of the basic mods that will still give the same basic qualities of MF2.  I may have found something similar (will have to double check) but yeah, no idea if it'll work or anything.

No idea if it would work or anything, but the survival aspect seems kinda similar to MF2: Life in the Woods

Jadedcat posted a list of what she considers "core" to MagicFarm here on the fourth post down.

Went through and basically got rid of everything but the core mods and it appears that it's one of the core mods that are keeping the game from working for me. Which is quite depressing.

See if you can get any support on the FTB forum. Maybe it's not just a lack of memory. I only allocate one gig to minecraft and do just fine.

Would anyone mind doing a join.me at some point and I'll let you guys go peaking around and see if you can figure anything out? I've done the best I can but it's getting out of hand.

Well, if I have to (feeling too lazy to actually do it today at least) I'll post something in the FTB forum tomorrow about my problem.

I wouldn't mind helping out later tonight if you're still up. Maybe in about 3 or 4 hours. I'm leaving for a movie with Dad soon, and will eat supper when I get back. I have bible study tomorrow night, so won't be able to do anything then.
