Server Updated: FTB Unleashed 1.1.7
I've updated the server to the 1.1.7 version of FTB Unleashed. You have to choose the 1.1.7 version from a dropdown in the launcher to play it. If you leave it on "Recommended" then it will only use the 1.1.3 version.
Also, we're going to have to start with a new map. With nobody online, the server was idling at near 100% CPU usage. That's unusable -- I couldn't even log on -- and I don't feel like putting in the effort to figure out where its problem is and how to fix it. Now with a new map, the server idles at 3%. If you want the old map for something, let me know and I'll upload it where you can get it.
Computercraft still hasn't been fixed and the server won't start with it enabled, so we still have to turn it off.
Using the [Edit Modpack] button in the launcher, you'll need to enable the mods listed as enabled in the changelog and disable the ones listed as disabled in the changelog.

- If you wish to make sure your client behaves like the server while you're in single player worlds, download these configs and use them to replace the ones already in your FTB config folder. If you want to go super light, just replace the natura one so the wheat flour recipe doesn't show up while you're on the server since I have it disabled.

Server Updated: FTB Unleashed 1.1.7 :: Comments
Re: Server Updated: FTB Unleashed 1.1.7
I still can't get FTB working, and it's frustrating. Anybody know how to solve an issue where when the client gets launched it closes and an error pops up saying "Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit."?
That looks to me like either your java installation is messed up or there is no environment variable telling Windows where to look for java, so it isn't able to start it up for the launcher.
To check the environment variable do the following:
Setting the java environment variable:
To check the environment variable do the following:
- Open "System Properties" from the Windows control panel.
- Click the "advanced" tab and then click the "Environment Variables" button at the bottom. Now be extremely careful to not accidentally change/delete anything in here or you could seriously screw up Windows.
- Now in the bottom section, look for the variable named "Path". Click it to select it and click "Edit". Again, be very careful not to change or delete anything in here if you don't know what you're doing.
- In the long string of gibberish (<-technical term) in the "variable value" field, look for something that says "java" or "jre". If it's there then your environment variable for java is already set; cancel out of everything and try reinstalling java. If it's not there, do the following.
Setting the java environment variable:
- Find where java is installed on your system. That's where java.exe and/or javaw.exe is located. (For example, mine is located in C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin.)
- Now we need to add that path to the "Path" variable value that we looked at earlier. Scroll to the very end of the variable value, add a ; to separate this from the other entries (no space before or after) and then the full path to the folder containing the java.exe. Do not change anything that is already there! Here's what my path variable looks like with the java entry added, and the part we're adding is highlighted:
%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live;C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD APP\bin\x86_64;C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD APP\bin\x86;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static;C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\;C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin
Yours will most likely look different; this one is just to give you an idea of what you're doing. Also, note that all of the slashes are backslashes. - Once you have the java path added, click "ok" a few times to save everything, then restart your computer and try launching FTB.
Just for the record:
I had the above mentioned problem when trying to install FTB on my older Windows Laptop.
The above solution didn't work for me. (The Java path was identical too!)
Anyway the above solution in combination with this one worked:

Just sharing in case it would help someone else.
