Server Rules

Here are the server rules in no particular order. They're just numbered for easy reference. If you have any questions, ask a Mod or Admin.

1. Follow the Tree Spirit Challenge.
   
   
2. No PVP. (Player vs Player for those of you who are new to the internet )
   
   
3. No griefing. (Anything that causes grief is griefing.)
   
   
4. If you or your heart log dies, it's up to you to decide whether or not to start over. Not everyone wants to play hardcore.
   
   
5. You may roam freely in the spawn area that's bordered with glowstone.
   
   
6. To visit another person's tree, get permission from them and ask a Mod or Admin to supervise if one is online.
   
   
7. You may build a tree with a friend or join a friend who has already started, but you must both agree that it's what you want. And if you can't get along, an Admin will split you up.
   
   
8. You can pick any tree that's 2x2 or smaller to start with. Anything bigger and there's not much point in the challenge. Also, you can't start with a Forestry tree that only comes from breeding; that would be cheaty. But you can still grow your tree with Forestry (or Dartcraft) trees that you breed from the offspring of your starter tree. (See rule 16 for details.)
   
   
9. Obey the Mods and Admins.
   
   
10. No TNT. Go ahead, just be careful.
    
    
11. No X-ray for mining.
    
    
12. Minimaps and mapping mods for displaying terrain, mobs, and items are allowed.
    
    
13. Don't spam the chat.
    
    
14. Don't use movement hacks.
    
    
15. Keep your language clean and pleasant. No excessive cussing, ALL CAPS SCREAMING, or obscene language. An occasional curse or playful innuendo doesn't hurt, but don't get carried away.
    
    
16. If you're breeding Forestry trees, only the saplings that drop from the leaves of your direct descendents can be considered your true direct descendents. So, you may go: Grandfather tree -> sapling -> tree (mutated leaves) -> sapling -> repeat (x) times -> expand your grandfather tree. But not: Grandfather tree -> sapling -> tree (leaves) -> pollen carried by bees/butterflies/players -> some other tree (mutated leaves) -> sapling -> expand your grandfather tree.Only the mutated leaves of your direct descendents can produce your descendents. All other mutated leaves/trees are just for standard slave labor or mutation agents for your true descendents.

New addition: don't use X-ray for mining.

More new rules because of someone stupid. Like the last, these should just be assumed everywhere:

*Don't use movement hacks.

Another new rule... this one is just to prevent conflicts and help preserve the serenity of the server.
