First topic message reminder :

Soon.
Once DireWolf (Of whatever FTB we use that is 1.6) becomes 1.6, I will be able to play with you guys again.
I've been waiting for so long, and I don't know how long until I do get to play with you all, but when I do,
You'll know.
You'll feel it.
I can wait some more.
I'm so excited. Very Happy

Glad to see this post was of use. Razz
Here's an update.
My moms computer, which was the mod-capable one, has been updated and is now a family computer.
Sadly, I just tried to download the launcher and found it is not runnable, seeing as how the update caused this computer to lose winrar (any free suggestions would be great. Very Happy).
I'm actually learning how to code to earn money while in highschool (Starting in 2 weeks. hobey.) and can do basically nothing. If you want to see progress, look here, because I literally have to code everything on this page: http://www.codeavengers.com/c/silence/profile.html Also try using this code >Very Happy <img src="http://www.macromeme.com/cat/zelda-rage.gif" width="436" title-"You should have rolled!"> That should hopefully work. Smile<
I'm also thinking of starting a movie review blog. (Note that all the language in the review will be like that in the move, so PG movies are PG language... and so on, just so people know what it's like in the movie.)

Interesting. Good luck with the coding. It is hard. I took C++ programming in college. Didn't find it all that interesting. Well, hope you will be able to join us again on the server at some point.

WinRar isn't necessary to use FTB. You should be able to just download the exe from www.feed-the-beast.com and run it to download the modpack. That's the good thing about FTB. It makes playing with mods very easy if you use one of the existing modpacks (which we are).

If you want a free file archiver to replace WinRar, try 7-Zip. It's what I've used for years, and I quite like it.

Oh and btw, there is a code tag on most forums that will make anything inside it remain formatted as you typed it (so your code doesn't turn into what the code says, like below.) It also makes it much easier to pick your code out of the message while reading it.

So people see...

Code:
<img src="http://www.avatarhosting.net/pics/32362/287.gif" title-"Stupid door. -_-">
instead of...

I played with html a bit when I was in high school, too. I never did anything with it, and I don't remember much of it, but the knowledge makes it a lot easier to navigate the wilderness of the internet. Unfortunately, html can't do a whole lot on its own. Once you start wanting to do anything fancy, you'll have to learn other things, too, like CSS, Perl, and Java. I really liked CSS. It makes a lot of things much easier, because with it you don't have to put all of the formatting in your html code. Never bothered with Perl or Java. That started to seem too much like work.

Soon, you'll find that there are scripting languages everywhere (usually with their own little quirks that make things sometimes not work like you'd expect). Most games that you can mod have their own language according to the game engine they're built on. Even forums have their own little formatting languages.

I guess I just have to learn about these forums then. :DWelp, I'm off to coding. If anyone ever wants to chat, find out where I live where I hang out nowadays.

My Winrar still lets me use it even though the free trial ended like 2 months ago.
I refuse to buy it, seeing as I pretty much got it for free, the trial being glitched.
