Chest and Zone Protection Minecraft_Creeper_05b
Like all Minecraft servers, TreeCrafters.com has had a fair share of spammers, griefers and thieves. There really isn't much that you can do about spammers - the people behind them create hundreds of accounts at a time and run from one server to the next spreading their messages of gloom. But for griefers and thieves, there are a few tricks that we can manage to pull off. Enter our next treat for this wonderful Halloween night - Chest and Area Protection for ALL PLAYERS.

You read that perfectly correctly - all players that have been accepted to join the server will be given free access to our chest-locking system, Lockette, as well as the ability to get 70x70 zone protection from bedrock to cieling to protect your land. Now for the details.

How to Use Lockette for your Chests, Doors and Gates:

Lockette is a very, very simple to use chest, door and gate locking system that all members will have access to the moment they are accepted to play on the server. Watch the video above for instructions on how to place a lock within your area. Keep in mind that administrators still have full access to all locked items, though their actions are logged in case someone accuses an admin of stealing their items. As long as you don't lock chests, doors and gates that don't belong to you, everyone will be happy! Except thieves, of course.

What about Zone Protection?

For zone protection, we are using the old and trusted World Guard mod/. To have your land protected, ask an Administrator to meet you at your heart log and we'll take it from there. You will be given up to 70x70 zone protection from Bedrock to cieling (no one else can dig or build in that area unless you add them to the zone-owners list via and Admin).

If someone else is nearby, you'll have to find out where your boundaries between the players lie, or form an agreement with that player to overlap your regions. Either way is up to you, just let an Admin know what you would like to do. You can also choose not to have any zone protection - but that is not recommended at all.

With the two of these mods combined, thieves and griefers will definitely have a difficult time causing any problems in your tree. Of course, you may be wondering - weren't these two "treats" for Sponsors only? Why yes... of course they were. But there are some big changes coming to Sponsor packages, and you'll just have to wait and see what those are.
