What is the corruption?

I have been reading about something called the corruption? What is this?

I've been looking around but I couldn't find what it is.

As I understand it, the admins are still brainstorming on that one.

From my understanding, the Corruption is the Nether leaking into the Overworld, causing the deaths of many tree spirits and forests. Over the ages, the Overworld was able to keep it partially at bay with the Wall.

It's more of an RP thing, really, but I do believe it means there will be Nether-related things on the other side of the Wall.

I have to say, the corruption sounds really awesome to play in and i can't wait for it.

Admins, Please hurry up and finish this so we can have even more fun than already.

Yea, Corruption was put on hold while I was away. I'm back now though (computer is fixed) and will have some updates for all of you as soon as I get some time off from work.

Hmmm Question, will there be things like mushroom spirits (counter race to tree spirts) and will we be able to change sides?
