Idea ( I'm full of them lately)

I had an idea that we should get Jeb to add in the new update. Minecraft seasons. Examples include harvesting double the amount of wheat in the fall, apples falling twice as much in the spring, breeding will produce twice as many baby animals in the spring, and maybe mountain, forest, and plains biomes will have a chance of getting snow in winter. Let me knOw what you think!


P.S. ok I'm pretty bored this weekend without minecraft, but am I posting too much?

It would be neat to have seasons, but they'd have to be limited to certain biomes. Tundra shouldn't get rain and deserts shouldn't get snow or much rain. It might be neat to have deserts get rain if it happens to rain during winter but not at any other time.

I guess the tree colors and biome colors would have to shift to give an indication of what season it is. And all of the blockbreak and mob feeding events would have to have extra checks in the code to determine the season and calculate alternate drop percentages. Programming all that could get complicated; I doubt they'd do it.

I have learned from the little bit of scripting I've done for mods in other games that simple ideas can easily turn out to be very complicated to implement. You'd be more likely to find a mod author willing to make seasons than you would be to get Mojang to do it. Mod authors do it for fun. Dev companies do it for the moolah. And seasons wouldn't be likely to bring in any more money.

Lol, the whole Jeb thing was mainly just a joke. The main reason I posted this was to make sure Im not just coming up with stupid stuff and if any1 actually thought it was cool. Thanks for the feedback though!

I think it would be cool if while it was raining in deserts there was a sandstorm so deserts actually have weather. The sandstorm could leave thin sand blocks like natural snow on like the north side of blocks or something
