Sorry, everyone

I've done the same thing that Ano did a little over a year ago. I disappeared for a few weeks and forgot about paying the hosting bill. They've deleted the server, and the most recent backup I have is from January 6. I can make the map available for download like I did with the old ones if people are interested, but unfortunately anything done in the last three months won't be there.

I'm especially sorry to BlazinFox. I know you've put a lot into your tree in the past several months. I'd give your tree back in all its glory if I could.  

I don't know if I should take this as a sign my life has moved past this for now and bow out like Ano did, or if I should start it up again with someone else as an equal Admin to keep things running while I'm busy. I won't try it again by myself. I'd hate to see this group completely dissolve, but I can't really put the time into it to try to hold it together anymore.

As for getting a new server started up, what do you think of a whitelisted Feed the Beast server? I've been wanting to play multiplayer FTB for a while but haven't wanted to disappoint anyone or run anyone off by shutting down this server to do it. I actually joined another FTB server, but don't play there much either, and don't feel the same sense of community there as I did here. Since I've already accidentally let the server get shut down and deleted, this would be the best time to convert if it's going to happen. For those of you who are scared of mods, FTB makes installation very, very easy and this would be the best place to learn the mods where your friends can help you out.

Time for a numbered list for easy discussion:

1) Do you want the old maps for download?2) Should I start the server up again or let us all part ways?3) If I start it again, who should be co-admin. This person will: have direct access to server files, have more contact info for me to poke me when I forget to pay the bill, have the responsibility of making new rules and enforcing them when necessary, promote/demote people when they deem appropriate, advertise if they want, and do all the other stuff that goes along with running the server.4) If I start it again, should we keep it vanilla or go FTB?5) If going FTB, what modpack should be used?

Discuss.
And add to the list if I forgot something. I'll try to check in fairly frequently for the next week or two to keep track of things and get 'em started if decisions are made.

That's okay. I had quite a few pictures, so I will be able to appreciate my tree for a while. I am thinking it is possibly the time to end the Treecrafters server. I have found a server that I am going to help build, but would still love to keep in touch and play with everyone from here more, so I am not really up for us splitting our ways.

I am up for a FTB server or joining one together. I don't know about which modpack though. I am most familiar with the Mindcrack version because I watch a couple people from Mindcrack. Though, if choose our own mods we could probably end up with a nice set that may match well with our tree building interests.

I'm fine with not having the old maps up for download.

I think starting up a Ultimate FTB server would be pretty neat, and Blazin or hidey should be co-admin.

I'd be willing to try FTB, i have no idea how to play though ._. Sad to see this place go...

1) Nah, I'm good, I wasn't very attached to my tree

2) I would rather die then part ways X.X You all are like family to me

3) I would vote for Shadow and/or Blazin, they seem to know what they're doing. Me, I'm happy with mod.

4) That would honestly be fantastic! If we keep it small, we don't have to ban very many items, or it could be whitelisted. I love FTB, that's where I've been lately, and I would enjoy helping people who are new to it.

5) I would recomend the Ultimate Pack, just because it contains a LOT more then the rest, and, arguable is more fun. Although if the Direwolf20 pack gets Ars Magica added to it in the future, I would vote for it instead, because it looks AMAZING

Also, just a short, important thing. If you do start a FTB server up, I will take any and all bees, ever. All the bees. ALL OF THEM!

I am fine with this, it is a chance for a new start, though I think the map should be up for download. I think the server should be started up with whatever FTB pack you find appropriate, and we can do the treecrafters challenge in conjunction if we choose! For the admin thing I would choose people YOU trust to part time run the server.
EDIT: I think the ultimate pack sounds like the best choice, having the most options.
EDIT2: I change it to direwolf20 pack, ars magica looks amazing.

Hidey plz. Nobody, and I include my cats, will beat me with bees. I will spam your house with automated creepy bees if you so much as dare to contest my awesome derpiness/addiction to bees.

I'm not saying that you should not do it,
But I wouldn't be able to play.
My old computer doesn't respond to mods. I have tried everything.
And the laptop that used to work stopped being able to run MC after updating its Java...

1) I don't really mind.
2) Starting it would be nice. I wish we could get donations more easily. I have no electronic money access.
3) I feel I'm up for the job, as I've said earlier. Blazin, Aiko, Dust, Ocean, Hidey, Bacon, and all the other older players could handle it well in my opinion.
4) If it's FTB I'd have to go. But if other people really want FTB, then I'd say go for it.

3) Blazin and/or Ocean, would you like to be co-owner with me? It doesn't really matter that you don't know how. I didn't, either, when I took over. You can learn as you go and I can answer questions. The biggest thing is being able to put time into it.

4) Everyone seems open to FTB, so lets do that if the co-owner agrees (to be and agrees to use FTB). It would require a whitelist since there's no way to greylist with a FTB server, as far as I know.

5) Ars Magica doesn't really appeal to me but it doesn't have to; I don't have to play with it. I'm more interested in Applied Energistics, and both the Ultimate and the DW20 pack have it. So I guess the decision point here is Gregtech or Ars Magica since those are the two biggest differences between the packs. Sometimes I like Gregtech... sometimes I hate it. Whatever.

I personally prefer Ultimate (because it's Ultimate. Also, modular powersuits and mystcraft ^_^), but as long as it contains bees I'm good.
