Incredible vanilla machine

I finally got my girlfriend back into minecraft, but only on a private vanilla server for the two of us and her sister. That's why I've not been on with you guys; I've been playing with her.
That said, I found something really cool and built one for us on my private server that I thought you guys might like to check out. The Iron Trench!
This monstrosity actually works! It's amazing what people can come up with in minecraft.

Wow! That's awesome, I think Ocean made something similar on the last server. Also, you should try to get her onto the FTB server, we promise we won't be too awkward

Ocean's was sort of similar, but nowhere to this scale. His had 4 villages, I think. This one has 32 packed into an even smaller area than those old style farms.

Heather's really shy and she had bad experiences the few times she's tried joining servers, so I don't think she'll be on any time soon. She's also still relearning vanilla. All the mods in the FTB pack would be overload.
I'll bring her in when I can.

A lot of things from the Zip Krowd push the limits of vanilla as well, such as the Wither-end portal wood farm and the original iron golem farm.

Also, has anyone been able to get onto the server recently? I tried both yesterday and today, but I couldn't connect.
