Server Status

May as well have a thread for this to stop filling our history with them.

If the server is down or whatever, post here. I'll also post any notifications or updates about the server status here.

The server is currently down. Oceanous seems to have found a bug in RotaryCraft that causes it to crash on startup, so I can't simply turn it back on. I'm currently working on updating the pack to include the latest version of Reika's mods to hopefully fix this without me having to find a way to manually remove the block that seems to be causing the crash. It'll probably take me a couple of days. In the meantime, I'm making a backup of the server/map so I can do some testing.

Would you mind also updating Pam's Harvestcraft while you're at it? They added quite a few things with this latest update.

The server is back up with the existing pack.

Upgrading DragonAPI and Rotarycraft didn't fix the error, so I had to use MCEdit to remove the offending block. (Luckily it was only a worktable, so no great loss to Oceanous.) I only replaced the region file that contained that block, so hopefully any potential weirdness should be contained within Ocean's base.

I'll still continue working on updating mods for the next pack version as time and mental energy allow.

Dynmmap seems to work, but the server won't let you connect.

The server seems to have locked up earlier. I've restarted it and it looks fine now.

Hey Maille, I was playing with Oceanous when the lockdown occured. It seems to be a block in his base (lockdown occured again shortly after he reconnected during the following day)

Maybe you could see with him to identify the problem ?

Yeah I can't connect at all. The dynmap's frozen too. So is the server pinger.

It's back up now.

uhh.... there seems to be a problem with silk touching a spawner from the random spawning traps mod(i have no idea wut its called) and right after i did it to a falling sand spawner(you know the one that spawns fire everywhere) the server crashed

The server seems to be frozen again. I'm not sure what triggered it.

Looks like the server will be down for the rest of the night as I try to figure out how to fix what Oceanous has done to his base. I can't even approach it with the server view distance set all the way down to 1. It always locks up. Gonna have to download the huge world file (thanks for all the bloat, iPvPSnipe and Hidey), stick it into mcedit, and then reupload.

Now something else is crashing the server as soon as it starts up. I don't have time to look at it right now; I'll try to get to it late tonight.

Edit: It's fixed up now. It was caused by having a chunkloader with an ender quarry. Ender quarries chunkload themselves, so it's not necessary to use a chunkloader anyway.

Looks like someone else has done the exact same thing. I'll fix it when I get home late tonight.

.... oh. That was me....

Created a Terraformer, set it up with water and a steam engine powering it. Went to my base, got some long grass. When I used an enderbook to go back, server crashed (message: "Server Closed"). I'm guessing loading the Terraformer would be the cause of it, and either due to improper set up or bugs caused a server crash.

I've restarted it.

I've been away the past few days because lightning struck a tree near my house and fed a surge of power up through the coax cable that blew my modem, router, and both computers' network interface circuits that were plugged in to that router. I have a new modem and router, but still haven't put new network cards in my computers yet. And I haven't been able to play our pack on my laptop for some reason; it seems that java itself can't handle it. I dunno. Haven't had time to troubleshoot that much. I'll be back when I can.

Ok; the Terraformer I made is definitely bugged; closed server again when I logged in. Going to avoid going on if/when server is restarted until it can be fixed, as since I'm next to (and thus loading) the Terra chunk it will just cause another crash. Sorry :c

I'm working on a pack update. So far it looks like the easiest update yet. I put everything together tonight and it just worked without any bouncing between versions to find compatible ones. I want to do a little more testing before I submit it, but it's looking good. Some of the new mod versions are even going to save me a ton of time I'd planned on putting into configs to get chisel blocks to work with saws and carpenter's blocks.

Hopefully this goes well so I can submit it tomorrow. Starting Saturday I'm going to be very busy for the next couple of weeks remodeling my bathroom.
