New Modded Server
With the upload of the latest version of our modpack (Leaf 'n' Logistics v0.3.0) I've started a new map that I expect to be the one we keep. For the sake of my sanity the new pack is more of an enhanced vanilla than anything else. There aren't any non-vanilla trees except for the Harvestcraft and Growthcraft fruit trees. Let's stick with the vanilla trees for our grandfather trees. We might add more mods later as we find a need for them.
I've spent several hours mapping out a large area around spawn (approx 3000 x 3000) that I'd like most people to stay inside if they can. Most biomes can be found in this area.
You can see this map on our dynmap page at http://67.222.154.43:8123. (That's our server address followed by :8123. If the server address changes in the future, just change the part before :8123 to correct your browser favorite/bookmark/shortcut if you make one.)
You can also use dynmap to chat with online players if you can't or don't want to get on the server.
There are a few useful things outside of this large main area that I've mapped. I plan on eventually making public paths, as of old, that reach out to these areas from spawn:
If I've missed a biome or you just want to find another for your own use, please use this biome finder to find the nearest one instead of blindly making ridiculously long treks out into forever to find them. This is to keep the map as small as possible so as not to overtax the server or exceed our storage space.
If anyone wants it, I can also provide everyone my Journeymap data. It just shows the same stuff as dynmap, though.
Spawn is fairly simple right now. It's just a lit fenced area with a chest of food and a command block for making it day. There's also a 65 x 65 glowstone bordered area that we'll consider a free roam area for shops and whatnot; this might grow later if necessary.
To start out, get a few pieces of food from the chest and hit the button on the command block so you have a fairly safe start toward finding where you want to begin your tree. I'd recommend looking over dynmap before getting on the server, though, so you have some idea of where you're headed. You don't want to waste your 6 pieces of food grace period before diminishing returns start. (We're using Hunger Overhaul and The Spice of Life to make hunger and food a feature instead of just an annoyance.) If an admin is on, you can ask one of us for creative mode to fly out and choose your starting spot.

- In the far north is an ice spike biome for getting packed ice.
- In the west bulge is a mushroom biome (part of a savannah island) and a mesa biome. There's another larger mushroom biome farther west that I've not mapped.
- And in the south is a mega taiga biome were you can find podzol.

Same as xkea. I plan to get on asap tonight. Aaaah! So excited. I already scouted out an area: x: -875 z: -1000 if I remember right.
For some reason they still haven't uploaded my update to the launcher yet. They're usually pretty fast with it. I submitted it on Sunday and it's been sitting in a "waiting upload" status since Monday. Hopefully they'll get it up this evening.
Well, it looks like they just don't have enough people to keep up. They're in the process of increasing their team now. We will just have to wait.
If you're fairly computer savvy and don't mind updating your own installation manually, you could download the pack where I'm hosting it for the FTB team. PM me and I'll give you the address of the pack along with general instructions for installing it.

you should take a look at this website http://www.technicpack.net/ its a lot easier to make and post a pack you just have to register on the website and everyone gets I think 5 pack slots where they upload and share there modpacks they made no waiting for other people
I just changed some dynmap settings to make web chat a bit more usable. You can now see the last 6 lines of chat and scroll through the last 100 lines. This way you don't have to be looking at the screen during the 5 seconds that the chat used to be displayed.
Hello idontcare, it's a private pack for this specific server, and by ftb rules we don't publicate the code. You just need to present yourself a bit in the application forum and we'll send you the pack code in private message
